Several volunteer groups offer their assistance during emergencies. We thank them for their dedication and commitment to society. Listed below are a few of the groups that we call on regularly.

The Mid-Atlantic D.O.G.S. Search and Rescue is a group of dedicated people and their canine companions trained and prepared for search and rescue initiatives.

Maryland Volunteer Organizations Active in Disasters (MDVOAD)

 

Maryland Volunteer Organizations Active in Disasters (MDVOAD) is an umbrella organization that brings faith-based and other non-governmental disaster relief organizations together with state and local government departments and agencies. MDVOAD meets regularly to develop and enhance disaster planning efforts, such as donations and volunteer management, in the State of Maryland.

The American Red Cross

 

We call on the American Red Cross​ to help provide basic needs to victims during disaster recovery. 

Chesapeake Search Dogs

 

​Chesapeake Search Dogs is dedicated to using K9 resources to assist in finding the lost and missing in rural, urban and water environments.

The Maryland Wing of the Civil Air Patrol

​Maryland Defense Force (MDDF)

 

We are both a volunteer organization and a state agency.  The Maryland Defense Force (MDDF) is the state's all volunteer reserve military organization, specializing in the engineering, medical, cyber security and emergency management disciplines.

Mason-Dixon Search Dogs

 

Mason-Dixon Search Dogs provides professional K-9 search teams to local, state, and federal law enforcement or other government agencies 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The DELMARVA Search and Rescue Group

 

The DELMARVA Search and Rescue Group assists with disasters and the search and rescue of lost citizens.
